[NEWS FEED] President Buhari Assures Ex President Jonathan Of Protection

Goodluck Jonathan the former president of Nigeria on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the presidential Villa, Abuja, where he briefly met with the president, major General Muhammad Buhari (retd).

According to the news agency of Nigeria reports that the meeting between the former president and the present President which held behind close door, the meeting last for about 10 minutes.

NAN reported that Jonathan mission to the presidential Villa was unknown as he did nor disclose any information to the newsmen.

However the information gathered that the former president was on a thank you visit to the president, who recently consoled him over an attack on his country home, otuoke, Bayelsa State by unknown gunmen last December.

President Buhari reassured him of his safety and security, NAN reported.

During the attack, three of the gunmen were killed, while a soldier also died.

President Buhari put a call through to his predecessor to sympathies with him over the attack.
