[NEWS FEED] Akwa Ibom State Singer Just Pass On

Chief Uko Akpan Ekpo Umana who was born in 1932 into the family of Nto Ekpo Umana of Ikot Obong Community in Afaja Obong. In  Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state.

Obong Ekpo backed a Doctorate degree in music in university of Uyo. Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

This musical legend chief Uko Akpan was celebrated for his add work in Nigerian music industry, he came through with his own creativity, and that mine of him not emulating someone makes him a legend today.

At the age of 84 the octogenarian was still hitting the industry with good vibes and energetic performance.

Dr Uko Akpan has put in more even at the age of 60, he use the annang variety Ibibio and efik language of the lowest cross subgroup to map out his product.

Uko Akpan Ekpo realize his music career at the age of 15 and he admitted into it with all the zeal vested brought him to the limelight, following  his participation in 1977 festac event.

Songs he sended out so far nationwide: we ukpono se'jen akpono ette, NSE agwo anam ari dakwo fun, anyie agwo eku abogho, mkpa a song anyen abogho finally naira udorji, edemne EMA agwo inogho uko'kpan.
