The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board has reported the passing of another pilgrim from the state in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The deceased, Abubakar Abdullahi from Gulma in Argungu Local Government Area, was confirmed to have passed away due to a brief illness.
In a statement released by the Kebbi Hajj 2024 Media Team, the Executive Chairman of the board, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, conveyed Governor Nasir Idris' condolences and prayers for the departed soul. The governor emphasized accepting Allah's will and offered support to the immediate family and friends of the deceased.

Abdullahi was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs following his funeral prayer at Masjid Al-Ihram (Ka’aba) on Friday. This unfortunate incident follows the recent deaths of another Kebbi pilgrim, Tawalkatu Busare Alako from Jega Local Government Area, as well as a Lagos pilgrim named Oloshogbo Idris who passed away in Makkah shortly after performing the circumambulation of the Holy Kaaba on May 28, 2024
