Kounde Throws Shade While Praising Real Madrid's New Star

Barcelona defender Jules Koundé heaped praise on Real Madrid's summer signing Kylian Mbappé, calling him the "Crème de la Crème" (the best of the best).

The French internationals are teammates on the national team, but recently faced off when Mbappé's PSG eliminated Barcelona in the Champions League.

"A player like Kylian can't be stopped alone," Koundé acknowledged. "He was a constant threat in my area, so I had my hands full contributing to the team effort."

"This is why I play," he continued. "For the big games, to face the best. And Kylian is undoubtedly the 'Crème de la Crème.' It's a challenge I relish."

Both Koundé and Mbappé will be aiming to lead France to glory in Euro 2024, kicking off this week in Germany.
