Popular Caterer Hacked to Death in Akure, Family Demands Justice
A tragic incident has shaken the community of Akure, Ondo State, as Mrs. Olakunbi Adene, a renowned caterer and Chief Executive of Country Kitchen, was brutally hacked to death by unknown assailants. The incident occurred just five days after she celebrated her 54th birthday.
Sources revealed to Vanguard that the attack took place at her residence on Oda Road in the Akure metropolis. Her lifeless body was discovered on her bed by neighbors, who subsequently informed the caretaker of the house.
A family member recounted the shocking event to reporters, stating: “The mother of two was in good health with no sign of illness before her untimely death. Her body was found in a pool of blood on her bed, with no trace of the perpetrators. Just five days ago, she celebrated her 54th birthday, entertaining numerous guests at her home.”
Speaking to newsmen, the deceased’s husband, Dele Adene, expressed his shock and disbelief: “I was informed that my wife’s body was found on her bed in a pool of blood, indicating she was hacked to death. I am astonished that no arrests have been made so far. Her phone should be tracked, and I cannot understand how the residents of a building with four flats were unaware of such a violent act.”
The couple’s daughter, Tejumade, also spoke about the incident, saying the house caretaker called to inform her of her mother’s death in a pool of blood.
The family is now demanding swift action and justice for the senseless killing of Mrs. Olakunbi Adene.
