Drug Trafficking: Nigerian Customs Hands Over Seized Cannabis to NDLEA

 

 The Niger-Kogi Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has confiscated and handed over 283 wraps of cannabis sativa to the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Minna, marking a significant victory in the fight against illicit drug trafficking.

The seized cannabis has an estimated duty-paid value of N5,666,000.

Comptroller Pascal Chibuoke, during a press briefing, highlighted the Command’s achievements over the past four weeks. These include the seizure and detention of nine vehicles, with a cumulative duty-paid value exceeding N170 million.

Chibuoke praised his team for their dedication and assured that officers who perform exceptionally will continue to be rewarded.

Niger State Commander of NDLEA, Shehu Gwadabawa, expressed gratitude for the strong inter-agency collaboration, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in combating illegal activities.
